ABC Life Literacy Canada is a non-profit organization that aims to strengthen organizations that promote adult learning. The ABC Internet Matters program consists of a free workbook and downloadable resources to help new internet users learn how to use the internet. The program assists adult and senior Canadians with developing a basic understanding of what the internet is, how to access it, and how to stay safe online.
Techboomers.com is a free educational website that teaches older adults and other inexperienced Internet users with basic computer skills about websites that can help improve their quality of life. They offer courses, articles, and directories of helpful websites and apps.
Youth Teaching Adults is a free introductory digital literacy program for adult learners, led by youth volunteer-tutors. The program is a collaboration between ABC Life Literacy Canada (ABC) and Youth Empowering Parents (YEP). The two organizations have come together to bring the program to under-served communities across Canada. Workshop materials were developed by YEP, and adapted by ABC into clear language, for use with adult learners. The available resources can be used to lead either remote or in-person workshops and Youth Teaching Adults provides training for groups and organizations seeking to lead workshops
