The New Horizons for 2S-LGBTQ+ Older Adults program operates out of the Aids Committee of North Bay. The program coordinator, Ashley Di Benedetto launched a technology lending program to help 2S-LGBTQ+ older adults stay connected. They have also offered tablet lending programs.

Minute Skill

Minute Skill is a video-based educational platform that creates brief informative videos on a variety of topics. The Minute Skill app is currently in beta testing and will launch to the Apple Store and Google Play upon release.

The Sunshine Centres

Sunshine Centres for Seniors is a non-profit organization providing social, recreational and health promotion day programs for seniors in the Greater Toronto Area. They offer both virtual and in-person programming and welcome seniors from newcomer communities, seniors with disabilities, and seniors from all ethnic communities, religions, cultures, racialized communities, gender identities, and sexual orientations. They offer several in-person and remote programs and events for 2S-LGBTQ+ seniors. The Sunshine Centres website also offers its own directory of resources for seniors in the GTA.

SPRINT Senior Care

SPRINT Senior Care is an accredited, not-for-profit community support service agency in the city of Toronto. They operate a wide range of virtual and in-person practical and low-cost services to seniors and their caregivers. Their virtual programming includes exercise, music groups, and social hours. There is a biweekly virtual social event for older LGBTQ+ seniors and their allies.

AgingInPlace is an American organization that provides an extensive resource hub with information to support seniors who wish to live in their own homes. Their resources include guides to services that provide home modifications, telehealth services, and comprehensive reviews of medical technology like hearing aids and medical alert systems. They have guides for setting up online telehealth access and how to use the online features for various healthcare devices.

Swift Rural Broadband

Swift Rural Broadband is a non-profit munipally-led project to improve internet connectivity in Southwestern Ontario. Swift has partnered with 20 different ISPs to bring internet connectivity to underserved communities across Southwestern Ontario. They have mapped their projects and include a toolkit for ISPs looking to submit Requests for Proposals (RFP)
